Everything you need to know about the 2018 Woodward Dream Cruise

Woodward Avenue is Detroit’s main artery, diagonally connecting the heart of downtown to the outlying suburbs. As such, the 21-mile stretch of pavement is the epicenter of Detroit’s car culture, with plenty of stoplights and adjacent parking lots for meet-ups and cruises.

Woodward buzzes with car culture all summer, especially on the weekends. But it officially culminates at the Woodward Dream Cruise, which this year takes place on Saturday, August 18. In addition to the heavy traffic dreaded by locals, the corresponding cities hold all-day car shows and events. For those planning to visit the Dream Cruise, the major events are listed below. For more information and a list of other events on Saturday, visit the official Woodward Dream Cruise website.
