A 95-mile 2015 LaFerrari is already bid to $3M on Bring a Trailer

Here’s something you don’t see every day. Scroll past the 1982 Jeep Wagoneer, the 1957 Oldsmobile Super 88 convertible, and that 1968 BMW 1600… and oooh la la—is that a LaFerrari?! On Bring a Trailer? Indeed it is. And with only 95 miles on the odometer, to boot.

If you’re thinking that BaT seems like an odd place to find a multimillion-dollar Ferrari, you aren’t alone. Although modern supercars find their way onto the site from time to time, this stunning red stallion seems better suited for the auction lights of Monterey or Scottsdale. Regardless, with five days to go, the 2015 LaFerrari has received 28 bids and is already at $3 million. Expect it to go much higher.

A black 2015 LaFerrari with 4000 miles sold for $3,410,000 at RM Sotheby’s Monterey sale in 2017, and earlier this year a yellow 2015 LaFerrari with 317 miles went for the same total at Mecum Kissimmee.

A 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari in #1 (Concours) condition has an average value of $3.6M.

Like the Ferrari 288 GTO, F40, F50, and Enzo before it, the LaFerrari is Modena’s undisputed top-shelf offering. Its naturally-aspirated, 789-horsepower 6.3-liter V-12 is paired with a 161-hp electric motor, producing a combined total of 950 horses and 664 lb-ft of torque. Suspension and traction control settings can be adjusted via toggles and switches on the steering wheel, and its seven-speed dual-clutch transmission is shifted via carbon fiber paddles mounted behind the steering wheel. When this car came out, it faced off directly with the McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder.

Designed by Rory Byrne, Ferrari’s F1 technical director, the carbon fiber-bodied LaFerrari is claimed to have 27 percent more torsional rigidity and 22 percent more beam stiffness than the Enzo. It has a curb weight of just 2767 pounds. That’s roughly what a Toyota 86 weighs, except with almost five times the horsepower and more than four times the torque.

The LaFerrari on Bring a Trailer has resided in a personal private collection since new. One of only 499 built, it’s definitely a rare sight—both on the road and on the internet.
