2019 North American Car, Utility, and Truck of the Year finalists
The officers and juror revealed the 2019 North American Car, Utility, and Truck of the year finalists today at the Los Angeles Auto show. The three vehicles in each category were selected from a list of 29 semi-finalists. The winners will be announced in January at the 2019 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
Truck of the Year finalists
The three trucks that made the list this year are, well, the tree new trucks on the market. The Ram 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, and Chevrolet Silverado all boast new innovative features, increased refinement, and more utility than ever.
Utility of the Year finalists
In a surprise, at least to this juror, the Jeep Wrangler didn’t make the final list. This year’s podum consists of the Acura RDX, Hyundai Kona and Kona EV, and Jaguar I-Pace.
Car of the Year finalists
Sedans now take a backseat to crossovers and utility vehicles in terms of sales, but for many this is still the segment that defines the best of the best of this year’s automotive class. And this year, that car will either be the Genesis G70, Honda Insight, or Volvo S60.
