Is K.I.T.T. your Miracle Whip? Michael thinks so, but what about Byron?
It’s like knowing the result of a football game that you recorded to watch later, or someone spoiling a movie by revealing a plot twist just as you’re walking into the theatre. Big bummer. Except that it isn’t this time.
In the latest episode of Donut Media’s Miracle Whips YouTube series, comedian Byron Bowers quickly makes it clear that a K.I.T.T. tribute car he found on DriveShare has a snowball’s chance in hell of being his “forever car.” But who cares? Bowers’ hilarious string of one-liners makes it worth watching.
Highlights of Bowers’ date with a 1982 Pontiac Trans Am that has been customized to replicate Michael Knight’s “Knight Industries Two Thousand” on the 1980s TV series Knight Rider include these famous Miracle quips:
“This thing is sexy. I mean, the ’80s was hot! And then I popped the hood. Oh, this is a TV car. It’s for show—like my muscles. They look big on camera, but in real life? Produce. You know what I mean? That’s what I’m lifting.”
“The dash was a lot. If I sneeze and hit one of these wrong buttons, something bad could happen.”
“Now I know what Dorothy felt like when she met the Wiz.”
“(K.I.T.T.) keeps calling me Michael. No! It’s Byron!”
And that’s before Bowers discusses the car’s sex appeal.
Ultimately, Bowers decides to keep looking (shocker!) for a car—the car—he can drive every day for the rest of his life. What will he choose the next time around? You won’t have to wait long to find out.
Are you looking for your own Miracle Whip? Driveshare, available online or in the Apple app store, is a great way to enjoy your dream car without having to purchase it. And if you already own a sweet ride, you can rent it and help finance your next project.
