Pikes Peak Bentley celebration will you make you green with envy
Bentley is building 15 special edition Continental GTs to commemorate its record-breaking run up Pikes Peak—and they’re all sold.
Having taken the Bentayga to an SUV record in 2018, Bentley was back in 2019 to snatch the production car honors. With Rhys Millen behind the wheel the Continental GT powered through Pikes Peak’s 156 corners in 10 minutes 18.4 seconds.
To make sure this feat doesn’t go unseen 15 owners from New Zealand to the USA will be allocated a celebratory car in unmissable Radium green paintwork. The cars also benefit from a carbon-fiber body kit, green brake calipers, and Pirelli Color Edition tires mounted to 22-inch Mulliner Driving Specification black gloss wheels. Owners can also specify a “100” grille as a reminder that the record was set in Bentley’s centenary year.
Inside there’s more green detailing to contrast the Alcantara trim. A Pikes Peak map adorns the fascia, and the Bang & Olufsen speaker covers get a a funky anodized black and radium colorway.
There are no mechanical changes to the 634-hp W-12 engine. It was enough for Millen to beat the previous production car record up the legendary 12.42-mile hillclimb by more than eight seconds, so it should be plenty for the road.
