Instagram Jump Start: Corvette leads the way again
It’s turning into a Corvette Summer on Instagram. For the second week in a row, a photo of Chevy’s sports car displayed at the National Corvette Museum was the most-liked post on Hagerty’s Instagram account, although a 1949 Cadillac was closing fast. Here’s our top five:

1969 Chevrolet Corvette (1,551 likes) – This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette convertible at the National Corvette Museum is one of only two that were built with all of the following options: Riverside Gold paint, L-89 engine (427-ci / 435 hp), N14 side exhaust and F41 front/rear suspension.

1949 Cadillac Series 62 (1,455) – The left taillight conceals the gas cap on Cadillac’s 1949 Series 62 sedan.

1965 Pontiac LeMans GTO (1,129) – In 1965, the legendary GTO was simply a performance option package for the deluxe Tempest model, the LeMans. A 1965 GTO convertible had an MSRP of $2,990, which equates to about $22,667 in today’s economy.

1953 Chevrolet 210 (1,083) – Chevrolet’s all-new 1953 lineup included the 210 four-door sedan. Among the design changes: the windshield was curved and one piece, the grille was bolder and oval with turn signals in the corners, and the front fender line flowed through with side trim. A 235.5-ci inline six-cylinder engine powered the Chevy.

1968 Ford Fairlane (1,052) – The redesigned 1968 Ford Fairlane was a lower-cost alternative to the Torino, although high-performance options were available. V-8 engine choices ranged from 302-ci/210 hp to 427-ci/390 hp, and by year’s end a potent Cobra Jet 428 was also available.
Best of the Rest – Considering how rare they are to begin with, any photo of a 1956 Porsche 356A Carrera GS Speedster is a treat. But the one posted by @classiccarchasers (with credit to @BonhamsMotoring) is a show stopper. The angle, the colors, the brick road – this photo belongs on a wall.
