All hail the mighty Mansory Gronos

Mansory

The name sounds like it belongs to a comic book supervillain, and the G-Wagen-based Mansory Gronos 2021 looks like it should be driven by one, too.

Subtlety is a word that doesn’t appear to be in the German firm’s vocabulary, as is clearly demonstrated by its sledgehammer approach to tuning this AMG G63.

For starters the evil geniuses have thrown out the car’s original twin turbochargers and fitted bigger ones. Then they added new downpipes, a high-flow exhaust system, and a new engine management system. The result is an increase of almost 300 hp from standard to 850 hp alongside 738 lbft of torque. That’s enough to hurl this great big brick of a car down the road to 62 mph from rest in just 3.5 seconds. Top speed is thankfully limited to 155 mph.

Mansory has bulk ordered carbon fiber and isn’t afraid to use it liberally. The front apron, extended wheel arches, widened doors and rear apron are all crafted in the lightweight material and left unpainted. The new hood is also all-carbon and features louvres galore to vent heat from the engine. A carbon light bar sits on the roof and there’s even more carbon on the mirror caps, and door handle inserts. The rest of the car is finished in British Racing Green, and beyond-donk 24-inch wheels wear massive 295/30 section high performance tires.

Inside you’ll find even more carbon, but the cabin is dominated by rich fawn brown leather, with contrasting black carpets, and it looks like just the place to plot a spot of global domination.

The company is making just 10 of these G-Wagens, so the scene is set for an epic battle over who will get their hands on one of these Mansory monsters. Perhaps.
