Cadott, WI

I've moved around the country a lot through the military and other government service, and then ended up back in my small hometown. Since then, I've been able to collect some cars, bikes, motorcycles, and snowmobiles. Next - C1 Vette or maybe a C8.

Story

I grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin which I didn’t like much, but now recall all the great memories my sister and I have. Luckily, my parents liked to have fun when they weren’t working on the farm. In addition to farming, our family sold and rode Arctic Cat snowmobiles, and my parents owned some cool cars, like our 68 Plymouth GTX with the 440 and Dad’s 68 Corvette roadster.

My first licensed vehicle was a Yamaha 125 enduro followed shortly after by a KZ400 Kawasaki, which Dad was okay with, but not so much for Mom. I really enjoyed the Suzuki GS1100ES bike I had in the mid-80s. Gotta love those big old air-cooled engines. My worst experience was totaling out my Yamaha 850 Midnight Special when I was heading onto base in the Army (guy pulled out in front of me.) I’d still like to get a Yamaha RD400 Daytona Special or a Norton 850 Commando, or hell, maybe I need to go electric!

My first vehicle with 4 wheels was a CJ5 with a lift kit, big wheels, and a lot of worn out parts. No one could tell me it was not a good first car purchase. It wasn’t long until I had to downsize for college and bought a Plymouth Horizon with a 4-speed and anemic little 4 cylinder. Later I was able to get a few Corvettes and other cars. I still think my C7 Lingenfelter is awesome, but would like to get a C8 when prices go down.

I still love my vehicles - no trailer queens.
