My first car. I’ve owned it for over 20 years now. Fell in love with the body lines on day one.

Story
Dad was a car guy. His love for building engines and putting them into cars drew me in. The fact that certain combinations of parts and know how could make these things idle so nasty and do burnouts all the way down the street was just the coolest to me. His ability to do all of this with the little extra money we had showed the love for it that he had as well. Entering into my freshman year of high school in 1995 I was a muscle car guy. We had a handful of muscle car guys as well but the Hondas we’re way more popular. I knew I wanted something like dad had (69 Camaro) but wanted my own thing. Thanks to a senior kid who fired up his ‘66 Nova one day after school that set off several car alarms in the parking lot I took an interest in Novas. After researching I found out the 62-65 body style Nova was my favorite. A few months later at school a girl overheard me telling some friends how bad I wanted one and said that her mom had one in the back yard and it was for sale. I could not believe my luck as it was only a short drive away and I had saved the exact amount they were looking for $2000. We got it to run and my friend had to drive it home for me because I didn’t have a license yet (only 15). My initial plan was to have it all done by senior year but that didn’t happen (no money). Fast forward to 2008 I had saved for a house and was ready to get the Nova going. Then the economy crashed and I had to sell the Nova to save the house. 5 years after selling I bought it back :)
