1953 Chevrolet 3600 Pickup Idling Video
Description
After the end of World War II, Chevrolet resumed the production of civilian vehicles and introduced their new "Advance Design" pickups in May 1947. These trucks came with modern features such as vent windows, a restyled grille in 1951, and a single-piece windshield in 1954. Initially, they were powered by the 216 cu-in "Stovebolt" inline-six-cylinder engine, which was later replaced by the new "Thriftmaster" six-cylinder engine. In 1954, an automatic transmission was added to the growing list of options and Chevrolet continued to lead the truck manufacturing industry by continuously improving their designs. Today, these trucks are highly sought after by enthusiasts and collectors for their simple yet impressive design features, and even after almost 70 years since their introduction, a wide variety of suppliers still offer support for them.
