1984 Chevrolet Corvette
Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Introduced for the 1984 model year, the fourth-generation C4 Corvette was a drastic change over the C3 generation, developed with an emphasis on improved handling and braking, and as a result, was the first of its breed to use what GM termed “uniframe” construction. This entirely new chassis would feature lightweight construction and fully independent suspension while a sleek exterior design further evolved incorporating several Corvette hallmarks like pop-up headlights and quad rear taillights. The updated interior would include not only a digital instrument panel advertised as “the most sophisticated instrumentation package ever offered in a production automobile,” but also “space-age” aircraft-style bucket seats. Complete with a fully removable one-piece roof panel, the C4 Corvette remains a popular choice with enthusiasts due to its reliability and sleek design of America’s most popular sports car.

Ownership History
According to information provided by the consignor, this Corvette was purchased by his best friend’s father new in 1984. He remained the only registered owner of this vehicle until it was purchased by the consignor in 2021. The car had been parked and stored for approximately twenty years prior to the consignor's acquisition. Once it was purchased by the consignor, a thorough mechanical and cosmetic reconditioning would commence. Upon completion, the two best friends campaigned the car on the Lemons Rally New England; in October 2022. That along with the drive up to Massachusetts from Pennsylvania the car completed 1500 miles round trip that week. The only modifications to the car are the period-installed Borla dual exhaust and the recently installed stereo. The car has had one original color paint re-spray in the mid-1990s.
