By 2009, the Audi TT was well into its second generation with a range of high-performance engines and a more aggressive, sweeping profile. The 2009 Geneva Auto Show debuted the first Audi “RS” variant of the sporting model, the TT RS, which featured a new 2.5-liter inline-five-cylinder turbocharged engine rated at an impressive 335 horsepower and good for 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds. Like all previous RS models, the TT RS was equipped with standard all-wheel drive, complemented by a lower ride height, standard 18 inch wheels, and upgraded ventilated disc brakes among other changes. U.S.-based Audi fans would have to wait until the 2012 model year before the TT RS was brought stateside; but it turned out to be worth the wait, as U.S. cars had 25 more horsepower than the European version for a total of 360 horsepower. Available in the U.S. from 2012-2013 and 2018-2022, the TT RS left the U.S. market for good in 2022, making low-mileage examples like the car on offer the only way to experience this superb high-performance TT variant in America.
