Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
"It's more than a car. Look again, it's more than a truck. It's the Ford Ranchero," proclaimed the Ford's period marketing. As is well known, the Ranchero combines the practicality of a pickup truck with the style and comfort of a passenger car. The sixth generation of the Ranchero was based on the mid-sized Torino platform and featured a 6 ½ ft pickup box offering 39 cu-ft of cargo space. With four trim levels, the standard Ranchero could be transformed into a luxury hauler or a practical muscle car, courtesy of a selection of fiery V8 engines. This particular Ranchero was ordered new in GT specifications with the option 351 cu-in 4V (four-venturi carburetor) engine, bestowing the car with 285 horsepower that was capable of keeping pace with Mustangs while hauling a load of cargo.
