Description
Chevrolet’s response to Ford’s pony car was worth the two-year wait, the Camaro proving to be a worthy answer to the Mustang with strong sales numbers and racking up wins in the Trans-Am Series. First launched in 1967, the new Camaro was available with 80 factory options and an additional 40 dealer accessories which included engine options ranging from the entry-level 230 cu-in inline-six to the potent 396 cu-in V8. In the 54 years since the first-generation Camaro went out of production, and thanks to the immense popularity of the performance models, many non-RS/SS cars have been restored and modified with larger engines, performance upgrades, and RS/SS-inspired cosmetic enhancements. This 1969 Camaro was originally powered by a 350 cu-in V8 which is included with the sale and reported to be in working condition. A 383 cu-in stroker V8 crate engine from Blueprint Engines of Kearney, Nebraska now powers this fine resto-mod, with only 970 miles traveled since its installation. Finished in stunning Frost Green (59) over a matching Medium Green (721) vinyl interior, this highly upgraded and well-sorted Camaro is ready to cruise or show.
