1952 Cadillac Series Sixty-Two 2-Door Club Coupe

Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
For 1950, just a year after the introduction of Cadillac’s new 160-horsepower, overhead-valve 331 cu-in V8, the Sixty-One and Sixty-Two Series Cadillacs were comprehensively restyled. The lineup was lower and sleeker, with one-piece wrap-around windshields, pronounced grilles, and longer hoods. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Cadillac, 1952 models were adorned with additional chrome trim and gold-cast badges, scripts, and broad “V” emblems. New features for 1952 also included self-winding clocks, improved direction signal indicators, glare-proof mirrors, stannate-treated pistons, and four-barrel carburetion – bringing the V8’s output to 190 horsepower. Third-generation Series Sixty-Two Cadillacs remain beautifully styled, robust, and relatively economical to operate, making nicely restored examples highly sought after today.
Jerry Ferguson, a member of the United States Navy and a co-founder of Biomet Inc., a worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of musculoskeletal orthopedic implants and products, was known for his entrepreneurial drive and generosity. He was also an enthusiast of all things 1950s, from music to automobiles. Pursuing his love affair with the automobile, in 1984 Ferguson established the Classic Car Centre of Warsaw, Indiana, a company dedicated to the acquisition and restoration of mid-century American Classics. In operation until his return to Biomet in 1993, today Hagerty Marketplace is proud to offer The Ferguson Collection, comprising the long-hidden remaining inventory and personal collection of Jerry Ferguson.
