1993 Dodge Viper RT/10 Drive-By
Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
First unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in 1989 following Chrysler President Bob Lutz's vision for a modern-day Cobra, the Viper has been a popular enthusiast choice since the first production model in 1992. Offering an entirely independent chassis, the small team of engineers used a custom-designed tubular space-frame layout finished off with a full fiberglass body to save weight. One of the very last sports cars to be offered as such, the Viper offers an engaging driving experience that is remarkably free of electronic driver assist and aids found in modern cars. Powered by a massive 8.0-liter V10 which was designed with input from Lamborghini, it produces a brutal engine note through the signature side-exit exhaust. Today, early Vipers are considered by enthusiasts to provide the most “bite” with the Viper in its most savage, simple form.
Finished in a Viper Red over a custom gray and red partial leather interior, this example was purchased new by George Foreman and displays a mere 1,572 miles at the time of listing. It features custom exterior stripes and embroidered seatbacks courtesy of Carlini Autographics and is accompanied by a matching fiberglass hard top, owner’s manuals, and partial service records.
This car is part of the George Foreman Collection, which comprises over 50 cars from the 1930s through today, with a focus on American classics and late-model sports cars.

Please note that the vehicles in The George Foreman Collection have been in long-term static storage and will benefit from additional mechanical attention prior to being driven. Bidders are encouraged to review the Additional Documents section of each lot for any recent mechanical service rendered to help return certain vehicles to running condition. Additionally, bidders should carefully review the photos of each lot in the collection, which may highlight the oxidation of metal components certain vehicles sustained as the result of a garage fire caused by a golf cart battery in March 2019. Although none of the vehicles sustained fire damage from the fire itself, the negative cosmetic effects of the corrosive soot vary greatly from vehicle to vehicle and can be observed in the photo galleries of each lot. All lots are sold as is, where is, and bidders are responsible for any desired diligence before placing a bid.
