Lingenfelter-Modified 1995 Chevrolet Impala SS Six-Speed Cold Start
Description
Derived from the Caprice and built on the GM B-body platform, the 1994 - 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS was first teased as a concept car at the 1992 Detroit Auto Show. Impressively, the production version differed little from the concept. It was equipped with the Caprice’s 9C1 police package, including goodies such as beefed-up suspension, a high-capacity cooling system, dual exhaust, a transmission cooler, and larger disc brakes. A limited-slip rear differential was standard, and the SS rode on highly attractive 17 inch cast aluminum alloy wheels. Under the hood was a variant of GM’s venerable 5.7-liter LT1 V8. Stock horsepower was 260, but torque was an impressive 330 lb-ft.
First-year 1994 models were only available in Black with a Gray interior, however, in 1995, the equally sinister shades of Dark Cherry Metallic and Dark Grey Green were added, yet Black remained a highly popular choice. Many see these full-sized mid-1990s, B-body platform cars as the end of an era and as a result, they are beloved for their style and ability to customize can be seen with this example from 1995. Featuring performance parts from Lingenfelter and other mechanical enhancements it is the epitome of a late model “sleeper” Hot Rod.

Ownership History
Originally sold in Florida, the ownership of this 1995 Impala SS began with noted car collector Anthony Marchiano who amassed an impressive collection in Florida before he was reportedly charged for embezzlement, at which time the collection sold. Purchased from the Marchiano collection by a second owner in Virginia, it was sold two years later to a friend of the consignor before they ended up acquiring the car in 2017.
Hagerty Marketplace has confirmed a clean title status, the owner maintains the title in hand and will send it to the Hagerty Marketplace team to be reassigned to the new owner after the auction is complete.
