Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
After decades of debate about whether to install a hardtop on a Mercedes-Benz two-seat convertible, the engineers at Daimler-Benz unveiled the company’s first power retractable hardtop on the all-new SLK-Class at the Turin Motor Show on 22 April 1996. The new SLK was part fun-loving roadster, part sleek coupe, and a come-to-life transformer at the touch of a button. After a 50 year absence, the SLK 230 Kompressor was one of the first modern Mercedes models to feature a supercharger. The car was able to satisfy the most discerning of Mercedes’ customers thanks to numerous options available, including both manual and automatic transmissions. Harkening back to Mercedes-Benz’s most iconic cars from earlier in the century, the SLK created a completely new class of cars ready to help Mercedes usher in the new millennium in style.
