Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
In the mid-1980s, exciting performance car offerings were beginning to creep their way back into showrooms after a decade defined by emissions-restricted engines and lackluster performance. General Motors led the charge with its rear-wheel drive G-body platform which was used for the epic turbocharged V6-powered Buick Grand National and the 5.0-liter V8-powered Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. The latter became available in 1983 as RPO code Z65, which brought a high-output V8 producing 175 horsepower, sport suspension, and dual exhaust among other performance enhancements. Thanks to the immense popularity of the Super Sport model, many non-SS cars have been restored and modified with larger engines, performance upgrades, and SS-inspired cosmetic enhancements. This 1984 Monte Carlo Sport Coupe was tastefully upgraded with a 350 cu-in V8 crate engine in 2016, and transformed to have an SS appearance with a rear spoiler, SS side graphics, and 15 inch SS cast aluminum wheels.
