Description
The 560 SEC represented the finest personal luxury car offered by Mercedes-Benz from 1986 until 1991, continuing a long history of crafting some of the finest coupes in the world. An evolution of the 500 SEC, the 560 came equipped with a 5.5-liter V8 featuring refined electro-mechanical fuel injection, electronic ignition, and an easier-breathing engine increasing the horsepower to 238 when new. Designed for high-speed touring use, the car featured a capacious trunk and a self-leveling hydraulic rear suspension, ensuring optimal suspension performance when fully loaded. The 560 SEC also incorporated weight-saving aluminum used for the hood and trunk lid. A truly world-class car, the elegant pillarless styling and wonderful useability have continued to capture the attention of enthusiasts to this day, especially when they are finished in a timeless color combination such as this Black over Gray example..

It is relayed by the owner that this 560 SEC was originally purchased by his parent’s neighbor in 1986. The CARFAX Vehicle History report begins in May 1993 when a title or registration was issued in Pennsylvania with 29,200 miles. The car was later registered in Florida with 74,279 miles in February 2002, with the current owner purchasing the car from the original owner's family in March 2023.
