1972 Triumph TR6 Engine Idle
Description
Starting in 1953, Triumph introduced the TR series to the market and continued its evolution until the end of production in 1981 to cater to the ever-changing demands of the automobile industry. During this long span of time, the TR6 model, which was manufactured from 1968 to 1976, was considered a game-changer as it featured a more refined inline six-cylinder from earlier models. The previous models were styled by Michelotti, while the TR6 sported a new look thanks to Karmann of Germany, resulting in a dramatic departure from the earlier generations. In addition, the handling characteristics were significantly improved by the use of aluminum semi-trailing arm independent rear suspension and rack and pinion steering that were derived from the TR250/TR5 models. To this day, these cars are cherished by their owners for their smooth power delivery and handling characteristics, creating the perfect vehicle for a thrilling drive through the countryside.
