1975 Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-X Start-Up and Engine Idle
Description
For the 1973 model year, Nissan unveiled the all-new C110 Skyline, which featured a stylish design by Nissan Motor Company's chief engineer and designer, Sakurai Shinichiro. The C110 was commercially marketed with a young couple, Ken and Mary, who embarked on many adventures in their Skyline and were affectionately referred to as "Kenmeri," which is the nickname to which the C110 is known today. The pillarless hardtop coupe (KGC110) featured a body surf line that ran through the entire rear quarter panels to the top of the rear wheel openings, as well as the Skyline's iconic twin round tail lights, which were carried through into each subsequent generation all the way through the R35 GTR. The “Kenmeri,” like its predecessor, the Hakosuka, was powered mechanically by the L20 straight six-cylinder engine rated at 130 horsepower.
This excellent example was obtained when the consignor traveled to Japan and arrived at renowned Skyline specialist and dealer YK Auto in Hamamatsu. Prior to the acquisition, the car had received an extensive exterior refresh, including refinishing the original clean and straight body in its correct shade of white. Additional minor mechanical service work was performed before being exported to Southern California in 2015.

Ownership History
The current owner of this 1975 Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-X acquired the car in Japan in October 2015 from Yuki at YK Auto and imported it shortly thereafter in December 2015. During the consignor's ownership, the mission was to allocate an all-star effort of their valued and long-standing SoCal championship Nissans racing associates and suppliers, including a custom stainless-steel header and exhaust by B-Line Motorsports, upgraded suspension work by handling guru Ermish Racing, Borla Induction individual throttle bodies, and a Holley engine management unit featuring an electronic fuel injection system installed by Holley EFI R&D Lab. The car has driven less than 500 miles since being completed and has been under the care of Neely Motorsports Inc.
