Porsche celebrated the Boxster's 25th anniversary with a special limited-edition model paying homage to the 1993 Detroit Motor Show concept car that launched the Boxster lineage. Dubbed the Boxster 25 Years, production was restricted to just 1,250 units worldwide and based on the potent GTS 4.0 platform. It featured a mid-mounted 4.0-liter flat-six boxer engine producing 394 horsepower, paired with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed PDK transmission. This powertrain enabled a top speed of over 182 miles per hour and, with PDK and Sport Chrono package, a 0-100 kph (0-62 mph) sprint in four seconds. Visually, the model stood out with its Neodyme accents—a copper-like brown reminiscent of the original concept—on the front apron, side intakes, and 20-inch wheels. These details were complemented by a GT Silver Metallic, Deep Black Metallic, or Carrara White Metallic exterior finish. Other bespoke touches included a Red fabric top (also available in Black), aluminum interior package, and special "Boxster 25" badging. The fuel filler cap featured Porsche script from the Exclusive Design range. The Boxster 25 Years not only commemorates a pivotal model in Porsche's history, but also showcases the evolution of the mid-engine roadster that helped revitalize the brand in the 1990s.
