Description

This Mercedes-AMG G 65 is a 2017 model that has lived in Marin County, California since its delivery to its first owner through Mercedes-Benz of Marin in San Rafael, California. It is, as one would expect, a luxuriously optioned example that focuses attention around its heart, that being the G 65’s tremendously capable V12 biturbo engine. Finished in designo Magno Night Black Matte (056) and optioned with an AMG Nappa leather steering wheel, the G 65 cossets its occupants inside, with contrasting designo Light Brown Leather upholstery featuring heated and ventilated AMG front sport seats amongst an exhaustive list of creature comforts, electronic conveniences, and safety features.  

The accompanying CARFAX Vehicle History Report records a gradual accumulation of mileage and regular servicing at the dealership from 2018-2020, and in December 2020 the G 65 was noted as having 20,884 miles recorded. Following the first owner’s passing, the second owner inherited the car from her brother in 2023. The vehicle had covered few more miles by that time, and had a dead battery after a period of sitting. While applying for a new title at DMV in 2023, the new owner incorrectly guessed at the mileage on a required DMV odometer disclosure form, resulting in the issuance of a title that has been branded as “not actual mileage.” Supporting documentation suggests that the indicated mileage is indeed correct, but the title is branded. This G 65 is a usable, high-performance example that offers its new owner the chance to experience twin-turbo G-Wagen ownership for a fraction of the original $220K+ list price.

Additional Notes

Title Disclosure: This vehicle has a branded title in California stating that it is “not actual mileage.” 

It is understood that when the second owner applied for a new title, after inheriting the vehicle from her brother’s estate, the vehicle’s battery was dead and they guessed at the mileage on the required DMV odometer disclosure form. They guessed that the vehicle had 24,000 miles on it when in reality it had less than that. Unfortunately, their incorrect guess resulted in a mileage discrepancy being recorded on the title at DMV and consequently with CARFAX. California DMV has issued a branded title stating that the vehicle is not actual mileage. This is the title this vehicle comes with.  

The second owner has signed a Statement of Facts explaining these discrepancies and this Statement will additionally be included in the purchase.
