Description
When the new C7-generation Corvette went on sale for a starting price of $51,995 in 2014, one Road & Track editor called it the “finest combination of track pace and back-road aplomb any manufacturer has ever offered for that price.” It garnered similar praise for its completely redesigned, driver-centric interior, and its new “LT1” small-block V8. This included the inclusion of an all-carbon fiber hood and the carbon-nano composite underbody panels attached to a lightweight aluminum chassis. Stylist Tom Peter’s design also evolved the familiar Corvette look, now with a modern, more angular design, and brought back the vaunted Stingray name.
This 2017 Corvette Stingray Grand Sport Coupe has the look of the mighty Z06 supercar without the expense. It also features the GM 8L90 eight-speed paddle-shifted automatic, of which Car and Driver wrote, “On a road course, taking hot laps in an automatic that performs ignition-spark-cutting upshifts and positive-torque downshifts (engineer jargon for blipping the throttle to match revs) quicker than humanly possible allows the driver to concentrate on the steering and braking ...” They concluded, “Grand Sport… the best all-around Corvette ever.”
Plus, this one-owner Torch Red Grand Sport Coupe is showing just over 4,210 miles from new.
