2015 Bentley Flying Spur V8
Description
The second-generation Bentley Flying Spur was introduced at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, debuting a new V8-powered variant alongside the existing W12. The V8 model retained all the expected amenities of an ultra-luxury sedan from Bentley, albeit $20,700 less expensive, 330 pounds lighter, and more fuel-efficient than its bigger brother. The twin-turbocharged V8 unit delivered plenty of power, rated at 500 horsepower and 488 lb-ft of torque, and paired with a smooth eight-speed automatic transmission. Car and Driver also found the V8 model’s driving dynamics to be preferable over the heavier W12, praising its plush air suspension and four-wheel drive system. Today, the V8 Flying Spur continues to offer premium luxury for a lower entry fee and running costs than the W12 model.
