2012 Maserati GranTurismo Convertible MC Sport Line Top Operation
Description
In 2008, Maserati introduced its latest ultra-luxurious grand tourer, appropriately named the GranTurismo, featuring seductive Pininfarina styling, a 405 horsepower, 4.2-liter V8 tracing its roots to the Ferrari F430, and a glorious throaty exhaust note. Two years later, the House of the Trident debuted the GranTurismo Convertible equipped with a three-layer power-folding soft top that could be neatly stowed under a motorized cover in under 21 seconds while retaining the 2+2 seating arrangement of the coupe. The GranTurismo Sport Convertible brought an additional 39 horsepower in 2011 thanks to an uprated version of the 4.7-liter “F136” V8 as well as more aggressive styling cues including a black grille and headlight surrounds. Buyers seeking even more aesthetic customization could personalize their Maserati with MC Sport Line options spanning front and rear carbon-fiber spoilers, carbon-fiber mirror caps and door handles, exposed carbon fiber interior trim, and 20-inch wheels. An authentic throwback to the magnificent Maserati grand tourers of the 1960s and 70s, this GranTurismo Convertible MC Sport Line is an excellent entry point into Italian 2+2 ownership.
