The Audi S5 is available in coupe, cabriolet, and five-door fastback sedan versions, this iteration having been derived from the fourth-generation (B8) Audi S4 saloon and estate models. Like all Audi "S" cars, the S5 is exclusively equipped with Audi's quattro four-wheel drive system, utilizing a Torsen-based center differential system. While most S5 versions are manufactured at Audi's plant in Ingolstadt, Germany, the cabriolets are produced at Audi's factory in Neckarsulm, Germany. Visually distinguished by its more aggressive bodywork, typical of Audi S and RS models, the S5 features side skirts, larger air inlets on the front bumper, and dual exhausts with twin tips per side. The S5 Cabriolet variant is powered by a supercharged 3.0-liter TFSI V6 engine, delivering 333 horsepower, coupled with a seven-speed S-tronic dual-clutch transmission.
