2009 Porsche Cayenne Six-Speed
Description
In the mid-1990s, Porsche was diversifying. Having already supplemented its iconic 911 with the Boxster in 1997, it began making plans for a “third Porsche” that would slot in nicely with its automotive portfolio. And with an eye on North America—its biggest market at the time—the 2003 model would be Porsche’s first four-door, five-passenger vehicle, an SUV called the Cayenne.
The first-generation Cayenne was a revelation because it was designed to be superior both on- and off-road. While it shared a general design with the Volkswagen Touareg the Porsche got sleeker styling, with an aggressive front end, angular headlights and taillights, and multi-spoke wheels. But beneath the sheetmetal was Porsche’s magical chassis tuning, comprised of a fully independent suspension, four-wheel drive, and advanced stability and traction control. High-speed curves and off-road trails alike were met and easily dispatched with the driver sitting in a luxurious, leather-wrapped interior, and the initial skepticism of Porsche purists turned to amazement. And a 2008 refresh resulted in an even sportier look, as well as 290 horsepower from the base 3.6-liter V6.
This black-on-black example has been carefully maintained, and its V6 engine is complemented with the incredibly rare six-speed manual gearbox.

Ownership History
The accompanying CARFAX Vehicle History Report places this three-owner 2009 Porsche Cayenne in Texas, Florida, North Carolina, and California.
The consignor states, “Extremely rare Porsche Cayenne with six-speed manual gearbox, only 1 of 51 made with the V6 engine for the 2009 model year. It has been used as second car and has low original 99,927 miles. This Cayenne has been garage kept, smogged in California, and has a clean clear title. Recently did the “hump” preventative service, including three new fuel pumps, new water pump and thermostat, the driveline center support bushing, new brakes, and new tires. My Porsche tech says 65% clutch material remaining. I have the maintenance records, please see the attached Service Documents for more information. It is clean with no pets, no smoking, no air fresheners, no rust, no corrosion, no off roading, no dings or dents, and no paint fading or cracking.”
