Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The Saturn Sky would provide a fitting final bookend for GM’s youth-oriented Saturn brand, being in production for three years, ending in the 2010 model year. The sporting two-seater was available as a coupe and as a fun-loving and popular open-air roadster. The Sky’s Kappa platform used innovative hydroformed rails and a centralized chassis backbone to create a suitably rigid chassis while only being 400 pounds heavier than a Mazda MX-5 Miata. The car could be ordered in standard trim with a 2.4-liter inline-four-cylinder or in Red Line trim, such as this example, with the turbocharged variant featuring a 57-percent power increase. Much to the disappointment of fans of performance everywhere, Sky production, along with the Saturn brand, ceased in 2009, but the spirit of this exciting, performance-oriented brand is still alive with the Sky Red Line today.
