2004 Toyota Solara SLE V6 Convertible Walkaround
Description
The second-generation, completely redesigned Toyota Solara was introduced for the 2004 model year with a redesigned exterior resembling the up-market Lexus SC430. The previous generation’s four-cylinder engine was retained, being joined by an optional 3.3-liter V6 offering a brisk 225 horsepower and featuring Toyota’s VVT-i technology. The result was a respectable zero-to-60 time of 7.3 seconds, while improved sealing of the Convertible’s soft top ensured quiet cruising with the top up. The result was one of the best driving experiences in the four-seat convertible class, which can be enjoyed today in this well-preserved example.
