Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 2004 Jaguar XJR, part of the British automaker’s X350 generation, was introduced in 2003 and marked a major technological leap for the brand. Among the car’s features was an all-aluminum body, which significantly reduced its weight compared to its predecessors, enhancing both performance and fuel efficiency.
The design of the 2004 XJR combined classic Jaguar elegance with modern touches. It retained the iconic Jaguar grille and sleek lines but incorporated contemporary elements like xenon headlights and larger alloy wheels. And under the hood was a supercharged 4.2-liter V8 engine producing 390 horsepower and 399 lb-ft of torque. This engine allowed the XJR to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 5 seconds, making it one of the fastest sedans of its time. The four-door sedan also featured a sophisticated air suspension system, adaptive cruise control, and a luxurious interior with high-quality materials and advanced technology for its era.
Car and Driver magazine gushed over the new XJR, proclaiming that the “R could stand for regal, rambunctious, and ravishing ... You won't find anyone in our offices who didn't find the XJR to be a pure object of desire ... It changes Jag's rank within the prestige ladder.”
