OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Motor Trend magazine was on to something when it crowned the new two-seat Thunderbird “Car of the Year” in 2002, calling the car “the perfect top-down getaway toy for two — and still a top performer.”
Following the retro-style craze of the early 2000s, Ford reintroduced the Thunderbird after a five-year hiatus. The new 11th-generation (2002-2005) two-seater was inspired by the styling of its 1950s “Baby Bird” counterpart, featuring a mesh grille and the iconic porthole adorning its removable hardtop. Under the hood, a Jaguar-sourced 3.9-liter V8 engine sent power to the rear wheels, with a five-speed automatic transmission handling shifting duties. The Thunderbird’s delightful mix of retro styling and modern refinement was a rare accomplishment praised by the automotive press.
Finished in Evening Black paint with Light Sand leather interior, this top-of-the-line 2004 Ford Thunderbird Premium can be outfitted with its removable Evening Black top for a classically elegant look or its Light Sand convertible top for a sportier vibe. Inside, it wears the optional Light Sand Interior Accent Package, and as a Premium model it has heated seats and chrome wheels, which are not available on Deluxe versions.
