Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Few automotive upgrades get the heart pumping like a supercharger. Force-feeding air and fuel into an engine not only boosts horsepower and torque, it gets people excited. Combine that with the history of the Super Sport moniker, and you're pushing all of the right buttons. That was Chevrolet’s reasoning when it unveiled a supercharged version of the 3800 Series II V-6 engine its 2004 Impala SS. The return of the SS badge to the Chevrolet was praised for its wide array of features, including six-way adjustable power seats, dual-zone air conditioning, and a dazzling number of gauges.
This custom 2004 Impala SS, originally owned by former heavyweight boxing champion George Foreman, features a tightened suspension package with MacPherson struts and fully independent rear suspension, and a sport appearance package that is complete with SS embroidery on the interior. The car is a time capsule of mid-2000s custom enhancements, bearing all of the hallmarks of a show car from the era. It comes draped in black and red two-tone metallic paint — a one-off creation by Carlini Design that captures the boundless imagination popularized by the televised automotive customization series — bringing the appeal of metallic paints and specialized bodywork to modern vehicles.
