2002 Lexus SC 430

Description

During the 1999 Tokyo Motor Show, Lexus unveiled its Sport Coupe concept, which was a V8 powered folding hard convertible. This concept signaled the company's plans to replace the first-generation SC 300/400. The production version of the sports coupe-convertible, called the SC 430, was first showcased at the New York Auto Show in April 2000. Powering the SC 430 was a 4.3-liter "3UZ-FE" V8 engine with variable valve timing (VVT-i) that was paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. This engine was the same model used in the UCF30 Lexus LS. The SC 430's V8 could produce 288 hp and 317 foot-pounds of torque, allowing the coupe to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds. What really set the SC 430 apart from the competition was the unique power folding convertible hard top that allowed a wonderful open-air motor or a refined coupe at the touch of a button.

Ownership History 

According to the CARFAX Vehicle History Report, this 2002 Lexis SC 430 was initially sold at Lexus of San Antonio, Texas, in June 2002 and remained in Texas with two additional owners before relocating to Illinois with the current owner in October 2022.
