2002 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
Description
Back in 1953, Chevrolet called its new Corvette “first of the dream cars to come true.” Almost a half-century later, the fifth-generation Corvette was the most radically redesigned version of America’s sports car ever. The new C5 was stiffer and lighter than the previous generation C4, due to the innovative use of hydroformed frame rails and featured a rear transaxle that improved not only the weight distribution but also increased interior space.
Other new features included a drive-by-wire throttle and a variable effort power steering system, but most notably, the C5 would introduce the world to the now legendary “LS” V8 engine family, including the base 346 cu-in (5.7-liter) all-aluminum “LS1” engine producing 350 horsepower. All of this created a sports car that offered innovative construction, superior comfort, and exceptional performance.
This three-owner 2002 Corvette Convertible is painted in Electron Blue over black leather and black convertible top. Among its features are new, staggered-size Falken Azenis tires mounted on five-spoke chrome wheels.
