2002 Chevrolet Camaro SS 35th Anniversary Convertible Warm Start and Rev
Description
Chevrolet called it, “Performance – American Style.” The 2002 model year was the chance to celebrate 35 years of Chevy’s Mustang rival, the Camaro. Few models last that long in the automotive world, but it was the final year of Camaro’s fourth generation and possibly the last Camaro ever. At least Chevy celebrated with more than just stripes and badges. Much more.
The Z4C 35th Anniversary edition was based on the Camaro SS, which was crafted by SLP Automotive Canada. Z28 Camaros were assembled at GM’s Sainte Thérèse, Québec, plant, and then in nearby La Salle, SLP installed its proprietary SS cold-air induction system fed by a special NACA duct hood it manufactured. That increased output to 325 hp, or 345 hp with the optional Performance Exhaust. Other options like a SLP Hurst short throw shifter or Level II Bilstein Sport Suspension could also be ordered. SLP then added SS trim and painted the new hood and special rear spoiler to match, which on the 35th Anniversary Coupes and Convertibles included Bright Rally Red paint and many unique touches.
Showing just 24,235 miles from new, this factory original 2002 Chevrolet Camaro SS 35th Anniversary Convertible possesses the style, performance, and workmanship that only a low-volume specialist like SLP Automotive could deliver.
