1970 Plymouth 'Cuda Walk around video
Description
The third generation Plymouth Barracuda saw the complete separation of the muscle car from the compact Valiant it was originally based from. Beginning in 1970 the standalone ‘Cuda and Barracuda came into their own as the horsepower war raged on in Detroit. The most popular engine option was the Chrysler LA 340, known as the “little giant killer”. The LA 340 garnered cult status for its rugged construction, high-flow heads, big valves relative to the engine and a two-level intake manifold; combining high power and relatively light weight, a powerful combination. This Plymouth ‘Cuda features this high performance engine variant with a four barrel carburetor. To shed its economy car stigma, the ‘Cuda was branded with a menagerie of bright, eccentric colors. Finished in an original FF4 Lime Green Metallic with a black vinyl top over a H6F8 Dark Green interior, this 1970 ‘Cuda has seen restorative work completed in 2021. The recent restoration also features an extensive list of light modifications, such as the custom built, removable center console, the sound system was installed in a separate electrical system making its removal and reinstall a simple matter, all in efforts to improve the quality of the driving experience and to further enhance the muscle car look.
