Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The Mercedes-Benz coupe was designed for individuals who sought greater automotive individuality while still maintaining the same exhaustive engineering standards perfected in their sedan range. This ideology was brought to life with the introduction of the six-cylinder “W114” sedans in 1968 and coupes the following year. Initially, for North American buyers, the cars were available as the type 250 C, with the 280 C replacing the car during the 1972 model year. The Type 280 C was equipped with a new 2.8-liter “M110” inline-six-cylinder with dual overhead camshafts. Compared to subsequent generations of Mercedes coupes, the W114 utilized the same wheelbase length as its sedan counterparts, offering spacious seating for five. Today, these cars are beloved for their usability paired with a beautifully understated elegant design courtesy of legendary French designer Paul Bracq.
