Description

Ford Motor Company quickly recognized the importance of modern styling in boosting sales with the success of the Model B and V8-engined Model 18 in 1932. Closely resembling the elegant European-market Model Y, the new 1934 Fords featured stylish, sweeping fenders, a “V” shaped grille, and steeply raked windshields in both passenger car and truck form. These handsome vehicles proved extremely popular among hot rodders both in period and today, who would strip excess weight and “hop up” their engines for additional power. Once a plentiful and inexpensive basis for a custom build, tastefully restored, unaltered specimens like this Model 67 Pickup are a rare find today.
