1995 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet Walk Around and Ride Along Video
Description
The 993-generation Porsche 911 marked a significant departure from its predecessor, with Porsche stating that nearly every part of the car was redesigned, resulting in only 20 percent of its components being carried over from the previous generation. Engineered with a new light-alloy subframe and coil and wishbone suspension, the 993 introduced innovations like the Weissach axle, effectively addressing lift-off oversteer and enhancing overall handling dynamics. The introduction of the VarioRam system boosted power, particularly in the midranges, resulting in a 15 percent increase over its predecessor and a more pronounced throttle noise at higher rpms. Notably, it was also the first 911 to feature a six-speed transmission. The 911 has always offered a perfectly balanced platform with sublime performance – with the added appeal of top-down motoring in this case - without many of the compromises apparent in other sports cars.
