This unique find is from deceased Wisconsin racing enthusiast William Kuckenbecker, who passed away in February 2024. D Sports Racing, now known as Prototype 2, is an SCCA sports prototype race car class. Usually known simply as DSR, the series cars generally weigh under 1000 pounds with driver and make approximately 200 horsepower at 13,000 rpm. Race Car Engineering magazine called it the one racing category that remains unfettered by regulations that have throttled innovation elsewhere in motorsport.
The SCCA logbook for this particular example notes design and construction by Britain's Reynard Motorsport, one of the world's most storied racing car manufacturers. The company built on its success in lower race car classifications, like the Formula Ford and its FF variants.
Among the SCCA races that this FF-103 has competed in are the BUR Double Regional at Blackhawk Farms, June Sprints, Kettle Moraine Regional, Carl Mueller National, and Milwaukee Region Nationals.
Please note that this 1994 Reynard FF-103 is sold on Bill of Sale only.
