Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The Chevrolet Suburban stands as a legendary full-size SUV, marking its place as the longest-running production vehicle in automotive history. Launched in 1935, this iconic model has evolved through twelve generations, tracing its roots back to its 1934 inception. Initially introduced as one of the pioneering metal-bodied station wagons, the Suburban has paved the way for the modern full-size SUV by blending a wagon-style body with the robust chassis and powertrain of a pickup truck. Today, it shares its underlying architecture with the Chevrolet Silverado and other truck models.
The eighth generation, introduced in December 1991, saw the Suburban transition to the GMT400 platform, mirroring the updates made to the C/K pickup trucks in 1987. This iteration came equipped with a base 5.7-liter small-block V8 engine, while the 2500 series offered an optional 7.4-liter big-block V8. This generation was available in both two-wheel drive ("C") and four-wheel drive ("K") configurations, with options for half-ton (1500) and three-quarter-ton (2500) versions.
