Description
Hagerty Marketplace is honored to offer a selection of vehicles from the SugarCreek Collection. This private collection in southeastern Ohio is supported by its own in-house restoration and maintenance shop, with a full-time staff of craftsmen. The garage is a true spectrum of car enthusiast dreams, ranging from unfinished restorations to the most recent SEMA-exhibited 1,000 horsepower 1962 Dodge Power Wagon. Sixteen select cars from the collection are being offered in time for the holidays. Whether awaiting restoration, preserved showroom stock, restored to like-new, or tastefully modified, these cars and trucks are truly SugarCreek quality.
Think of it: Carroll Shelby’s Cobra had a five-year life, and the Dodge Viper had 24 years. But by 1993, Chevrolet was celebrating the Corvette’s 40th year and it did so in a special way.
Priced at $1,455, the Z25 40th Anniversary package was available in both standard and ZR1 models and included an eye-catching Ruby Red Metallic exterior finish, Ruby Red leather Sport seats, power driver seat, special wheel center trim, and 40th anniversary emblems inside and out. It is well equipped with electronic air conditioning, Delco Bose electronically tuned AM/FM stereo with cassette augmented with an optional CD player, and six-way power driver’s seat. With the introduction of the Gen3 LT1 engine the previous year, horsepower rocketed from 245 to 300. The 1993 Corvette was also the first offered with a passive keyless entry system. Plus, the C4 generation of Chevrolet Corvette has a reputation of being one of the best-balanced and well-built American sports cars of its time, packed with then-new technology like Bosch anti-lock braking, traction control, and analog/digital instruments.
Finished in the color of the traditional 40th Anniversary wedding gift, the ruby gemstone, this 40,924-mile Corvette is cause for celebration.
