1992 Porsche 968 Coupe Cold Start Video
Description
The Porsche 968, introduced in 1992, was the peak of Porsche's front-engined, four-cylinder 924 and 944 series. It was designed as a successor to the 3.0-liter 944 S2, and Porsche claimed that the 968 was 80 percent new. Unlike the 924 and 944, which were produced at Audi's Neckarsulm plant, the 968 was produced at Porsche's Zuffenhausen factory. It had a front-engine/rear transaxle layout similar to its predecessors, but it featured new bodywork designed by Harm Lagaay, the original designer of the 924. The updated styling drew inspiration from the 928 at the front and offered more integrated rear-end styling. The Coupe was often compared to the Porsche 959 supercar in the 1990s factory advertising. This manual transmission-equipped 968 Coupe is a great choice for anyone looking for a unique combination of speed, practicality, and low production numbers, making it an intriguing entry into Porsche ownership.
