Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

Everything about the third-generation Camaro, produced from 1982 to 1992, was indeed shaped by the times. With the high-power glory days of the 1960s past, Chevrolet had to build a new Camaro that was smaller, lighter, and more aerodynamic, with a slim and angular design that shaved seven inches off its wheelbase and weighed 500 pounds less. Thanks to its large glass hatchback and folding rear seats, the new Camaro was also more practical. Camaro emerged from the 1980s with plenty of performance, and several state Highway Patrols adopted them for pursuit vehicles. 1992 would be the last year of the third-generation Camaro and two models were offered: RS and Z28. The RS may have been the base model, but it was hardly basic, with a 3.1-liter V6 standard and a 305 cu-in V8 option.

This well-preserved, original condition 1992 Camaro RS Coupe was originally exported to Japan with items unique to the Japanese market and shows 39,867 miles. It’s nicely optioned and powered by the 170 horsepower 305 cu-in V8 and an advanced four-speed automatic. As Chevrolet said of the 1992 models, “down on Main Street, Chevy Camaro is still USA-1” — even in Japan.
