Single-Owner 1990 Mercedes-Benz 300 CE Start Up and Ride Along
Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 1990 Mercedes-Benz 300 CE is a notable model from the company’s W124 series, introduced in 1988 and continued until 1993.
The W124 series was known for its robust build quality and innovative safety features. It was one of the first cars to incorporate crumple zones and a driver-side airbag, setting new standards in automotive safety. The 300 CE also boasted a sophisticated multi-link rear suspension, which contributed to its excellent handling and ride comfort. Under the hood, the 1990 300 CE featured a new M104 DOHC, 24-valve, 2,964 cc inline-six engine with CIS-E continuous fuel injection, increasing performance with 217 hp at 5,500 rpm and 195 lb-ft of torque at 4,600 rpm. A four-speed automatic transmission provided a smooth and responsive driving experience.
The elegant Bruno Sacco-designed coupe body offers a sleek and aerodynamic profile. Inside the 300 CE is a luxurious interior with high-quality materials and advanced features for its time, such as automatic climate control and power-adjustable seats. As Britian’s Car magazine recently reported, “What a gorgeous machine this is. It’s achingly cool and dripping with charisma in a way that only something designed and engineered in the twilight years of the '80s could ever be.”
