1990 Ford Taurus SHO Cold Start and Walk-Around Video
Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Ford sent shock waves through the automotive industry with the launch of its Taurus SHO in 1989. Standing for Super High Output, the SHO was a true performance sports sedan with its Yamaha-tuned 24-valve, high-performance version of the standard Taurus' 3.0-liter six-cylinder rated at 220 horsepower. As a true enthusiast car, it was only available with a five-speed manual transmission. This impressive drivetrain, with sleek aerodynamic styling, meant the car was a true performer as 0-60 occurred in just over 6.5 seconds and a top speed in excess of 140 miles per hour. Not just for straight-line speed, an improved suspension design is capable of keeping pace with far more expensive alternatives as the road gets twisty. The same sporting nature that was lusted after when new continues to captivate like-minded enthusiasts to this day.
