Description
“The Ferrari offers a driving experience that’s immersive, invigorating and intoxicating. It’s a car you’ll want to learn more about; to discover its abilities by developing your own.” That is what the British website Retro Motor recently wrote about the Ferrari 328 GTS.
1989 was the end of an era, the last year of the popular Ferrari 328 in open GTS and closed GTB form, and with Enzo Ferrari passing away in August 1988, one of the last developed on his watch. Shaped by that Pininfarina grace and style, the 328 is also one of the last truly analog Ferraris, with anti-lock brakes the only driver aid to the eight-cylinder symphony in back — the all-aluminum 3.2-liter DOHC Quattrovalvole V8, generating 270 horsepower and 217 lb-ft of torque. In a car weighing just under 3,000 pounds that translated to a top speed close to 160 mph with the sprint to 60 mph in just six seconds.
Delivered to FAF Motorcars in Tucker, Georgia on 26 June 1989, this GTS has known ownership history from new. Fastidiously cared for, this thoroughly invigorating 328 is as desirable for a discerning collector as for someone new to the Ferrari experience.
