Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Following the immense popularity of the 308 GTS and GTB of the 1970s, Ferrari rightly retained the same basic formula and shape for its successor, the 328. Stylistically, Pininfarina did a masterful job updating the 308’s iconic wedge body, now wearing form-fitting colored bumpers, a smaller front grille, and a roof spoiler. Inside, the cabin boasted a new dashboard, door cards, and supplementary controls, along with more supportive seats. Ferrari’s biggest upgrade was in the engine compartment, overcoming the 308’s lack of power by enlarging its all-aluminum V8 to 3.2 liters, bringing its output to 270 horsepower and 217 lb-ft of torque. In a car weighing just under 3,000 pounds, that translated to a top speed nudging 160 mph with the 0-60 mph sprint handled in just six seconds. Stunningly beautiful, well-balanced, and reliable when properly maintained, the 328 is as desirable for a discerning collector as someone looking to join the Ferrari family.
